- 4 Medium Quinces
- 100 g Granulated Sugar
- 50 g Honey
- Vanilla
Peel and cut quinces in quarters. Cut and remove the seeds and the hard part around. In a sauce pan add 500ml water, sugar, vanilla and quinces. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Lower the heat and cover with a lid. Simmer for 45 minutes or until soft and pink. Refrigerate the quinceŃ in its syrup overnight. Next day blend the quinces, honey and the syrup in a food processor until smooth. Put the mixture in plastic container, cover and freeze it. It will take 4-5 hours to set.
